It has been over a month since my last 2 for Tuesday post. My lack of trading has made it almost impossible to keep the posts going, but I did receive a trade yesterday to go along with another from last week, so here we go. Yesterday I receive a nice 2 pack of Cardinals from member bobberkill.
Heritage short prints are not as hard to pull as they were 20 years ago, but they can still be difficult to trade for. Luckily this trader accepted a card numbered to 199 instead.
Fox Sports is now Fan Duel. Starting in 1998 FSN produced one or two cards each year that the Cardinals gave out during games or Winter Warm Up. They older ones like this McGwire are not that easy to find. I was thrilled to trade 2 duplicates I had from recent years for this one.
The second trade envelope arrived last week from member Geoff2568.
The Donruss base design gets worse every year. If my OCD did not make go after every Cardinal card, I doubt I would collect this set. At least Panini produces cards of retired legends.
The Holo parallel is slightly better, even though it does not scan well.
Hernandez finishes my 2025 Bowman paper team set. My Chrome set is far from done.
Never seen or heard of that 1998 FSN McGwire. Very cool that it's from that monumental season.
