I mentioned back in July how my trading was going to slow down. It certainly has, as you may be able to tell from the lack of trade recaps. I doubt much will change for a couple of months, as my son's senior soccer season starts next week. He has 2-3 games per week, along with band competitions on Saturdays. That will leave very little time or effort for trading. My only goal is to reach 1,000 completed trades on TCDB by the end of the year. I sit at 981 after receiving a nice package from member SMSiegell last month.
It was great seeing Goldschmidt get a nice ovation last week during his first visit back to St. Louis. One of the nicest players you will ever meet.
Can someone tell me the difference between A&G Silver Portrait parallels and Topps flagship Rainbow Foil parallels? They look the same to me, so why the different names.
Some Panini cards look a lot better than others. The top two are nice, but I am not of fan of the bottom 2 shiny cards.
Some collectors are not fans of Topps reusing older designs. I am a fan of the late 1980s designs because that is when I first started collecting. Seeing the 1989 Topps design brings back memories from when my Dad would give us packs of cards on the weekend as our allowance. Clean and simple, nothing shiny or colorful about it.

Good question about the parallel names. As much as I enjoy collecting them, I don't seek them out enough to keep track of all of the names. Maybe "silver portrait" sounds more majestic than "rainbow foil", so they decided to use it for A&G?
