Anyone buying a Mega Millions ticket for tonight's drawing? I never play the lottery, but I admit the chance to win a billion dollars is tempting. Even after taxes, I am sure I could make a living on what is left. Maybe I will buy a ticket or two. If you never hear from me again, you will know why.
The odds are not good to strike it rich tonight, but I was able to strike some gold in a recent trade with TCDB member dlackey. I have traded with him quite a few times on The Bench website, but never on TCDB. It was so much easier setting up the trade. I sent him quite a few Rays cards in exchange for some Topps Gold Cardinals.
There is a chance I will finally finish a Gold team set. I need 4 more to complete the 2017 team set of 24. Not only is Wainwright the only guy left on the Cardinals from this group, he is the only one still int the Majors. Piscotty and Adams are still bouncing around the minors, while the others have retired. Not sure if Ho is pitching in Japan or has retired also.
This group of 2018 gold cards does not contain any current Cardinals since DeJong was traded to Toronto earlier this week. I need 6 more cards to finish this 24 card team set.
