One week ago I showed off just the second new Ray Lankford card I added to my collection this year. As luck would have it another was listed on EBAY over the weekend with a best offer option. After one offer from both sides, we came to an agreement. It only took 3 days for the card to arrive.
It is tough to tell from the scan, but this 1998 Topps Stars N Steel card is the gold parallel. I thought I had this card, but flipping through my binders I discovered I actually had two copies of the harder to find gold holographic parallel.
Here is a scan of the versions: base, gold, then gold holographic. An easy way to tell the difference between the base and gold is the color outline on the first name. When the cards are scanned together, it is very easy to tell which gold parallel is the holographic. Odds of finding the gold are 1:12, while the gold holographic are 1:40. I hope to find another Lankford collector I can trade my duplicate to for one that I need.
